TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program) was developed by Grand Rapids Christian Schools as an easy and effective way to provide tuition assistance.

TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (Nov. 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated. See Program Overview for complete details.

If your youngest student is finishing up at GRCS, you can still purchase TRIP gift cards and earn credit to apply to Christian college tuition! Calvin College, Hope College and other Christian colleges currently participate. Just continue to shop at Eagle-TRIP and accumulate TRIP credit in your own account. Two times per year, when TRIP credit is distributed, contact Tim Stapert at GRCS Student Billing, provide him with your college student's name and tuition account information and the funds will be sent to that account.

Maximize your TRIP credit! Retailers frequently offer special bonus credits. Click here for current specials.

If school is cancelled in Grand Rapids on a Wednesday, we will be open for gift card sales that week on Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm. If school is cancelled or delayed in Rockford on a Tuesday, there will be no gift cards sales at RCS that week.

TRIP credit earned between 11-1-17 and 4-30-18 will be distributed on May 1 and applied to your May tuition payment. Statements will be  available to pick up at the TRIP Office in early May. For special arrangements or any questions about how TRIP credit is applied to your tuition account, please contact Tim Stapert (GRCS Student Billing) at or 574-6006.
