TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program) was developed by Grand Rapids Christian Schools as an easy and effective way to provide tuition assistance.

TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (Nov. 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated. See Program Overview for complete details.

>More about shopping with SCRIP

if school is cancelled in Grand Rapids on a Wednesday, we will be open for gift card sales that week on Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm. If school is cancelled or delayed in Rockford on a Tuesday, there will be no gift cards sales at RCS that week.

Please see our holiday schedule on the right-hand side of this page. The TRIP Office is very busy this time of year! Although we do our best to stock up, we often run out of in-stock gift cards, so please plan ahead!

TRIP credit earned between 5-1-16 and 10-31-17 was distributed on November 1 and will be applied to your November or December tuition payment. Statements are now available to pick up at the TRIP Office. For special arrangements or any questions about how TRIP credit is applied to your tuition account, please contact Tim Stapert (GRCS Student Billing) at or 574-6006.
